Ever since American Horror Story: Hotel finished, we’ve been counting down the days until season six hits our screens.
We’ve still got months to go but – luckily for us – Ryan Murphy has just divulged some details, and let us know what we can expect.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly at a recent panel, he said:
“The interesting thing about this season is weve been working on two ideas at once, which weve never done. I dont want to say what it is, but I will tell you that every darling person up here that wants to come back can come back.”
At the panel wasSarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Denis OHare, Angela Bassett, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson and Finn Wittrock, so we’re pretty much taking that as a confirmation that they’ll all be back. (We can’t imagine any of them not wanting to do another season).
It’s been confirmed already that Lady Gaga will be back, and rumours that Jessica Lange and Emma Roberts will also appear are circulating.
We’d also be highly surprised if Evan Peters and Lily Rabe – along with Sarah Paulson, the only actors to have appeared in all five seasons – didn’t have a role.
So, that’s the cast sorted. What’s the storygoing to be? Well, while for now we can only speculate, it’s looking likely thatthis season is going toinclude children, as Ryan confirmed that both the “two ideas” that he’s working on would involve the use of young actors.
He also discussed the interconnectedness of the seasons, and revealed he has no plans to wrap AHS up anytime soon:
“The deeper that we go into the series hopefully well last decades and decades you will see that theres a definite universe and all the worlds are collided, sometimes in a very bizarre, interesting way.You will be seeing more and more of that as we go along.
