Here’s how long every episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ 7th season will be

When the seventh season of Game of Thrones debuts on HBO next month, it will contain fewer episodes than every season before it. But that confirmation left some fans wondering whether wed receive even longer episodes in its placeand now we might have the answer.

Watchers on the Wall found the episode listingsfor the Game of Thrones season 7 episodes on HBOs schedule (though there is always the chance the exact times may change). The schedule reveals not only episode runtimes, but just how much longer many of them are. Some of them had been spotted in the past few days, but now we have.

And well, you better get settled in before you start watching on Sunday nights, because you’re going to be in front of the TV for awhile.

Episode 1: 59 minutes

Episode 2: 59 minutes

Episode 3: 63 minutes

Episode 4: 50 minutes

Episode 5: 59 minutes

Episode 6: 71 minutes

Episode 7: 81 minutes

Just last week, Entertainment Weekly reported that season 7 episodes would be, for the most part, around the same length of time as they had been in previous seasons; it put the season 7 premiere at 58 minutes. However, the season 7 finaleclocking in at well over an hourwould be an exception.

And so far the HBO schedule has corroborated that. Theres a one-minute difference between the HBO schedules listed runtime and the one listed on Entertainment Weekly. The season 7 finale, which clocks in at nearly 90 minutes,is 13 minutes longer than the season 6 finale and falls into the well over an hour umbrella.

Although were getting three fewer episodes than usual, the episode lengths even out the score a little bit; all but one of the episodes are 59 minutes or longerand of those half are over an hour. But no matter the time length, HBO has long since guaranteed that well be spending our Sunday nights right where it wants us: in front of a screen devouring the show.
