Game of ThronesI don’t know about you guys, but the lesson I took away from Sunday night’s episode was: Everyone should listen to Sansa Stark, always. Unfortunately, thanks to that smarmy snake Littlefinger, it doesn’t look that’s going to happen. Remember that note Arya found in Littlefinger’s room at the end of Episode 5, Eastwatch? The one that Littlefinger obviously planted there?
Well, thanks to some dedicated fans on Reddit, we now know exactly what that note says. And its contents confirm that Littlefinger is conniving to turn the Stark sisters against each other.
Here’s the transcript of the note, courtesy of Reddit user, Opa1979:
Robb, I write to you with a heavy heart. Our good king Robert is dead, killed from wounds he took in a boar hunt. Father has been charged with treason. He conspired with Robert’s brothers against my beloved Joffrey and tried to steal his throne. The Lannisters are treating me very well and provide me with every comfort. I beg you: come to King’s Landing, swear fealty to King Joffrey and prevent any strife between the great houses of Lannister and Stark. Your faithful sister, Sansa.
Does that note sound familiar to you? It should it’s the note Sansa was forced to write home to Robb way back in Season 1. Even if the oldest Stark sister had some issues in those early seasons, she never believed her father to be a traitor. Cersei Lannister forced her to write that letter, a fact Littlefinger well knows, as he was in the room when Sansa wrote it.
So now Littlefinger has planted the note for Arya to find, in the hopes that Arya will believe her sister betrayed the family. Unfortunately, it seems like his evil plan might work, since Arya was already doubting Sansa’s intentions in Episode 5. But c’mon, Arya! Have a little faith in your sister.
Whether or not the Stark siblings can outsmart the snake Littlefinger remains to be seen maybe Bran can talk some sense into them.
