Eight Game Of Thrones Characters Who Wed Like To See Killed Off

WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM ALL SEASONS OF GAME OF THRONES, RIGHT UP TO SEASON SIX, EPISODE FOUR. IF YOU’RE NOT COMPLETELY UP TO DATE, BE WARNED…

We’ll also pointout that if you’re not up to date with Game of Thrones, then this article is going to tell you eight awful characters who haven’t died yet. If someone not dying counts as a spoiler, then proceed with caution…

Okay. Here we go.

Ramsay Bolton

We’ll start with the obvious one. Ramsay Bolton is without a doubt the most nefarious character on Game of Thrones at the moment. His kill count is so obscene that rarely does someone who has come into contact with him live to tell the tale, and he has zero morals.

Not only did he chop off Theon’s penis (basically for fun), feed his stepmother and half-brother to his dogs (while they were still alive) and rape Sansa Stark, he also flays a lot of people alive, which is about the worst way imaginable to die.

We’re dreading to think what he’s going to do now that he’s got his hands onRickon, and we’re just hoping that Jon Snow and Sansa arrive with a wildling army in time to stop him. Maybe Tormund and Brienne can kill him together…

(There is, however, part of us that hopes that Ramsay stays alive a little bit longer (the same part that was a little bit sad on the day of Joffrey’s wedding). He’sso evil and he’sso vile, but he’s a brilliant character (so all credit to actor Iwan Rheon, who is doing an incredible job..).)

Melisandre

In her defence, most of Melisandre’s evil acts were done with a goal in mind. She’s never killed anyone for fun, she was just pretty determined to put Stannis on the throne. That’s why she killed off his brother Renly (one of his main rivals), and that’swhy she encouraged Stannis to sacrifice his young daughter, Shireen.

Whileshe arguably redeemed herself a bit by resurrecting fan favourite Jon Snow, the image of little Shireen burning on that stake is difficult to forget, and for that reason alone, Melisandre has to go.

Besides, with Stannis dead (and Jon Snow alive) she’snot really got anything to do anymore…

Tommen Baratheon

While we don’t have anything against Tommen personally, we can’t help but think that he’s a little bit too weak to be sitting on the Iron Throne… Not only has he failed to get his own wife out of prison, he’s also been pretty easily manipulated by the High Sparrow.

His death is also fairly inevitable: Cersei was told as a child that she would have three children, and that all three would die before she did. With two down it seems only a matter of time before this third pops his clogs.

We’re hoping that it’ll be sooner rather than later. Tommen doesn’t have an heir, so if he dies, the Iron Throne is pretty much up for grabs. And that? That could be interesting…

Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish

This is one that we’re in two minds about. While Petyr Baelish is a creepy little snake, he is very entertaining, and we can’t help but think that we’d miss him if he died. You see, just as Ramsay Bolton kills everyone he comes into contact with, so Petyr betrays everyone that he meets.

He betrayed Ned Stark, murdered his own wife and then delivered Sansa to Ramsay Bolton (right after he kissed her, which was gross).

But the thing with Petyr is that you never quite know whathe’s going to do next. He changes his allegiances based on who – at any given moment – is going to further his own position, and thismakes for some entertaining twists and turns.

While we’d kill him off for his behaviour towards the Starks alone, for now, he’s entertaining enough to (temporarily) get a stay of execution…

The Mountain

Ser Gregor Clegane is a nasty piece of work. Not only did he brutally murder Elia Martell and her children, he also crushed Oberyn’s head like an egg.

He held his brother (the Hound’s) face to a fire, horrifically scarring him, he probably killed his own father and sister, and he kills one hell of a lot of people for the Lannisters.

Now, the Mountain was already a force to be reckoned with, but – after Qyburn (the former maester who was thrown out for conducting illegal human experimentation) pumped him full of unnatural juices – he’s turned into a monster who is going to be hard to defeat…

We’d like to see Arya (who, remember, has his name on her list) head back to Westeros and defeat him…

Ellaria Sand

Yes, we get that Ellaria Sand isfilled with anger. She watched her lover, Oberyn Martell, get murdered by the Mountain, and that can’t have been fun. But it wasn’t just a senseless murder – Oberyn was killed in a trial by combat that he willingly entered into.

The innocent person in all of this was Myrcella, who didn’t really deserved to get poisoned. But, putting that aside,Ellaria got her eye-for-an-eye and that should have been the end of it.

Apparently not. In the first episode of season six, she killed off Oberyn’s brother, Prince Doran of Martell. Now, he was a pretty nice guy. He didn’t want to start any wars and he was nice to everyone, and that is pretty rare when it comes to Game of Thrones.

Sorry Ellaria, but you needed to let it go. Now, we’re hoping that one of your daughters turns on you…

Jaqen H’ghar

We’renot entirely sure if Jaquen can die, but we’re getting a bit sick of him. Yes, he helped Arya out back in season two, but since she arrived in Braavos, he’s been a bit of a drag. He wouldn’t let her keep any of her possessions, and he blinded her when she killed someone (who deserved to die!) from her list.

He either needs to step up his game and stop being so boring, or die, so that Arya can leave Braavos, and go do something more interesting…

The High Sparrow

Finally, the High Sparrow. What with all his preaching, throwing (almost) innocent people into prison and making them walk naked through the streets, we’re hoping that it turns out he’s secretly an incestual, sin-riddled hypocrite.

That way, all those nuns currently torturing poor Margery, and all those faith militants putting the brothels out of businesscan turn on their leader, and he can get a thoroughly satisfying comeuppance. Maybe in the shape of one of those walks of shame…
