Warning: this article has spoilers from Game of Thrones, The Battle of the Bastards.
Winterfell, which we see every week in the GOTopening credits, hasbeen adorned with the House Bolton sigil (a flayed man) since Ramsay took the castle back in season two.
Not only is this a fairly gruesome image to have for a sigil, but it’s also a cruel reminder that the Starks historic home is occupied by someone who likes to flay people alive.
Or, at least, it was. In Battle of the Bastards, the Starks (Jon and Sansa) took the castle back, and the opening credits for the next episode (the finale) reflected their victory.
